Creativity comes to life in poetry books
Art takes on many forms, from painting to sculpture to writing. Artist James B. Dziak follows his muse as it leads him to create inspirational images that are motivated by nature as well as to express himself through artistic poetry as well.
Much like his paintings, his poetry books create images and impressions in the mind with careful attention to detail. Every syllable, word, and stanza is carefully placed in order to invoke powerful emotion in the reader. The excerpt below from his new book, “Second Dance” takes you on a journey like no other. Excerpt from "Second dance"
In a thick entangled wilderness Man's brilliance creates the image Of new beginnings.
Stars like silk curtains drift within the circle. A man starts wandering through raw passages Of crawling beasts, asking questions and peacefully Falling asleep on top of the mountain.
The full moon just gone over the mountain silent as death. It had stopped still. Black snake crawled into the man's throat as he Swallowed his mind. War! Whose coldness inflames, whose hatred slouches Toward the raging seas, and searches And Waits!
Who can interpret the vision of peace and love? Will the fire keep burning? Will the best be destroyed? Will courage destroy the death? The faculty of man's mind seduces mental deafness And yields insane destiny.
